I've lurked on his blog on and off for years; his humor could be harsh at times, but there was - and is - always an honesty and thoughtfulness to his posts that made them well-worth the reading. May Christ, who has begun this good work in him, bring it to completion.

I'm confused as to whether or not his conversion is a joke.
I don't think that it is. No, I'll change that. It's not. Read his posts from '06, especially June of that year...there was a deliberate shift in tone then, and it's endured. He's pro-life, and more involved in the movement than many Catholics I know - it's far from impossible that he would take the path he has. In any case, Dawn Eden knows him well IRL, and she's taking this wholly seriously.
